Daily word for 15 June 2016 – Isaiah 43:18-19

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV):

18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

God doesn’t want us to life in the past and continuously think of things that went wrong. No, He wants us to look at today and the future and all that God is doing now in your life and is still going to do!

Amen!

Daily word for 5 April 2016 – Romans 6:10

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from Romans 6:10 (NIV):

10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

When Jesus gave His life at the cross, He died for all of our sins once and for all. Also for your sins. By this Jesus has made it possible to come to God through faith.

Just like Jesus we need to life our life to God!

Daily word for 4 April 2016 – Isaiah 40:6-8

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from Isaiah 40:6-8 (NIV):

6 A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?” “All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. 7 The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass. 8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

These verses make very clear that everything on this earth is temporary (therefore also everything we pursue), but Gods word and love is eternal. So, make sure that you focus on God and not on anything temporary, and you will see how it will bless your life!

Amen!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from 1 Thessalonians 5:8-9 (NIV):

8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Although we life in this world (which is dark due to the presence of the devil), know that you – as a child of God – always life and belong to the day! We are therefore not on the suffering end of wrath, but we have received salvation from Jesus! Let faith and love and hope for salvation be the pillars on how you life your life!

Daily word for 24 March 2016 – Romans 12:9-11

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from Romans 12:9-11 (NIV):

Love in Action

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

As a Christian we must really learn to love and not just because we feel we need to, but because we want to and it is deep desire. Just like God also has a deep desire to love us all. This love will mean that you hold on to the good things (that find favor in Gods eye) and hate evil (don’t allow any sinful thing to come in your life). Furthermore, it is very important to take all you effort and zeal to serve the Lord and also keep our spiritual life very active with God!

God bless you!

Daily word for 21 March 2016 – Hebrews 13:1-3

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from Hebrews 13:1-3 (NIV):

Concluding Exhortations

1 Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. 2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. 3 Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

As Christians God expect us to be different than others. This also means that we will do our best to love others as if they were our own brothers and sisters. That we also show hospitality to strangers (through the Holy Spirit God will show you what you can do for a stranger). Just imagine that you ignore that stranger and later on you will learn that it was an angel you turned down! But also care for people in captivity both unjust and those that got their by their own doing. Don’t forget people, but care for them!

Amen!

Daily word for 13 March 2016 – John 12:24-25

Daily encouraging word

Daily word for 13 March 2016 – John 12:24-25

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from John 12:24-25 (NIV):

24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

In these verses our life is compared to wheat. When we are prepared to loose our (earthly) life, then through God our life will remain for eternal and after we are saved he will make sure that many seeds are produced in our life!

Daily word for 11 March 2016 – Isaiah 33:15-16

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from Isaiah 33:15-16 (NIV):

15 Those who walk righteously and speak what is right, who reject gain from extortion and keep their hands from accepting bribes, who stop their ears against plots of murder and shut their eyes against contemplating evil— 16 they are the ones who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. Their bread will be supplied, and water will not fail them.

If you truly desire to be led and protected by God, then it means that we cannot be part of things that are bad and are sinful. You should not even desire it or get profit out of it. If you follow God, trust on Him to bless you and He will!

Amen!

Daily word for 10 March 2016 – Galatians 5:16-18

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from Galatians 5:16-18 (NIV):

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatevera you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

These verses are very important as it shows that the more we walk by (and are guided by) the Holy spirit, the less we are desiring to follow the flesh. When you will feel desires of the flesh to become to much, then it is important to bring it before God and ask Him (through the Holy Spirit) to take that desire away. And He will!

Amen!
