Daily devotional for 4 September 2017 – Matthew 9:12-13

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to meditate on the words from Matthew 9:12-13 (NIV):

12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Never feel or think that you are not good enough to come before God, because of your sins. In these verses Jesus makes it very clear that He did not come to earth for the healthy (the people that already accepted God and are following Him), but the sinners. So, there is no excuses not to come to God!
