Daily word for 5 June 2017 – Mark 1:6-8

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from Mark 1:6-8 (NIV):

6 John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. 7 And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. 8 I baptize you with a water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

In these verses John the Baptists lets us know that we should never elevate ourselves to the level of Jesus. Because we are not and we are not even worthy to think that. Give Jesus the respect as the Son of God and know that He is much more than anything in this world!
