Daily word for 31 March 2017 – Romans 12:20-21

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from Romans 12:20-21 (NIV):

20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

These 2 verses really touch me as it is not easy to do good to your enemies. It is so easy to give in to all the negative emotions and thoughts the devil will present to you. But when you serve God, than He demands from you that you do good even unto your enemies. Not only because it shows trust to God (that He will deal with your enemies), but also it will shame your enemies if you answer their negativity with love.

God, I ask you to give us more of your love to enable us to love and do good unto our enemies!
