Bible study on Acts of the Apostles – Chapter 3

Dear brothers and sisters,

In the Bible study on the 3rd chapter of the Acts of the Apostles I will discuss:

  • Peter heals a lame beggar
  • Peter speaks to the onlookers

Peter heals a lame beggar

When Jesus left earth to be with the Lord, He left us with the Holy Spirit to continue His work here on earth. I love this part of chapter 3. It is often easy to help someone financially (although that is also very good to do), but it is even better to heal him/her in the name of Jesus. When the beggar called them, they looked at him and told him that they didn’t have money, but that in the name of Jesus he had to walk. And how amazing: he walked! I love the appreciation of this man and how it really touched people around him. I pray that through the Holy Spirit we can really receive the gift of healing and heal others in the name of Jesus!

Peter speaks to the onlookers

While the beggar was so overjoyed by his healing, Peter addressed the crowd and asked them why they were so surprised that God had healed this man. Peter reminds us that it was us that let Jesus be killed and still He loved us very much. And Peter told us at that moment that the healing of this beggar was through the same Jesus. Know how much Jesus suffered by our doing and still He didn’t stop loving us and still wants to heal us! Peter tells us that we need to repent now from our sins and come to Him. If we do not, than we will cut ourselves of from His blessings! Don’t allow this to happen to your life!

Amen!
