Daily word for 10 January 2017 – James 5:16-18

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today I want to encourage you with the words from James 5:16-18 (NIV):

16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. 17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

These verses show not only how important a prayerful life is, but also how important it is to confess and repent your sin. Never forget to pray, because there is no excuse for not praying. Also, let the Holy Spirit open your heart and spirit to see when you are in sin, so that you can confess and repent it!
